Kahri By Kahri Anne

Dramatically edgy pieces. Pop out bold colors. Figure flattering cuts. Not to mention the amazing comfort factor... these are the ingenious elements found in none other than the it-brand, Kahri. The woman behind Kahri is fashion and style guru Kahri Anne Kerr. An elegant mixture of girlie and dreary is observed in Kahri, which also accents a spectrum of bold and beautiful colors like fuchsia, “ultra violet,” aqua, teal, plum, “electric yellow”, black, gray, and other colors of the sort. Graphic elements such as stripes and chevrons are also characters found in Kahri.
Kahri Anne believes that style should be available to everyone, and that it should not amount to as much as rent money. The affordable yet exclusive price tag entices even celebs to grab the chic, edgy pieces to update their cookie-cutter looks. Celebrity fashionistas Paris Hilton, Aubrey O'Day, Fergie, Brandie Carlisle, and ANTM Cycle 4 models Naima and Keenya are just a few of many indie and international stars caught in Kahri.
During our interview with Kahri Anne herself, she mentioned how inspirations play a crucial role in her work. Her Fall 2008 collection “is titled “Faded Lovers” based off a poem that I wrote.” Kahri also turns to music for design inspiration, with her Spring 2009 Collection modeled entirely off of “early 1960’s rock ‘n roll, pop, and Motown.”
Hence, many can recognize a Kahri piece though its unique showcase of beadwork, and daring screen-prints in unlikely places (like under the collar). And, to add to that originality vibe, Kahri proudly proclaimed that “I even print on the fabric and dye it, to make each price original.” Customer favorites of the Kahri line are the cute and comfy knit dresses, along with her edgy tailored jackets, both pumped up with much sex appeal. “I wear everything I make,” she explained to us,” so I always make sure it’s comfortable and let’s you stand out in a crowd.” Fashion and comfort in the same sentence? Now that’s music to our ears.
So, for all you fashionistas ready to run out and pounce on a Kahri piece, it can be picked up in a multitude of online and in-store sources, including kahri.com which features all of the latest for purchase. As Kahri Anne says, “Be Rebellious!”
