Carole L., a young French designer, knew she was on to something when she started selling her handmade jewelry right “off [her] fingers.” Although being a walking advertisement for herself was profitable, Carole soon started selling more pieces from a table on Prince Street and eventually opened the store La Petite Princesse.
Carole’s one of a kind jewelry- which have been seen gracing the bodies of celebrities in the ranks of Penelope Cruz, Sigourney Weaver, and Liv Tyler and featured in magazines such as Lucky, Seventeen, Elle, and Honey- are completely handmade out of gold, silver, and enamel. Carole loves colors (her latest collection features fun, bubble-gum colors like yellows, pinks, and oranges). Each one representing something: light blue for happiness, pink for love, purple for money, red for passion, orange for creativity, green for luck, and dark blue for success.
